No ten\u00eda guantes adecuados y tuvo que improvisar para entrenar, mientras las oportunidades parec\u00edan estar muy lejos de aquella comunidad de la Costa Chica.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Un d\u00eda, el padre de un amigo le compr\u00f3 unos guantes y ese gesto le permiti\u00f3 seguir adelante con su sue\u00f1o. Carmona record\u00f3 que algunas de sus primeras sesiones de entrenamiento y peleas se realizaban de noche, bajo la luz de la luna.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">El esfuerzo termin\u00f3 dando frutos el 15 de septiembre de 1972, cuando derrot\u00f3 a Mando Ramos y conquist\u00f3 el campeonato mundial ligero del CMB.
